The context
Homes of Croatia rents out holiday villas in Croatia. Villas, prices and availability live in Guesty, their property management system. The website runs on Webflow.
The problem
Whatever was in Guesty had to be copied to the website by hand: villas, amenities and reviews. And guests who wanted to book left the site for a generic booking page that didn't match the brand.
Core problem
Two systems that don't talk to each other: double work for the team and a detour for the guest, right at the moment they want to pay.
Our approach
Guesty stayed the source. Webflow became both the shop window and the checkout.
- 1
A nightly sync of villas, amenities, bedrooms and reviews from Guesty to the Webflow CMS, in several languages.
- 2
A custom checkout on the site with live availability, packages and coupon codes, and payment by card, iDEAL or PayPal through Stripe.
- 3
Booking on request for last-minute and special stays: the calendar is held until the team approves the booking in Guesty.
What we built
A TypeScript API that connects Guesty, Webflow and Stripe, plus scripts for the overview, villa and checkout pages. Availability can be filtered on the overview and seen per villa in a calendar. Monitoring raises an alert when the nightly sync goes quiet.
Results
The team manages villas in one place and the website follows. Guests book and pay without leaving the site.
